Welcome to IM Roadmap, our new home for discussion, debate and stream of consciousness on instant messaging and other things-collaboration. Let me come right out and confess to my ulterior motive – to make everyone true believers in enterprise chat. As more posts go online, it will become clear that I have a
particular view on what that means, and how it is different from other discussions about instant messaging.

I am interested in advanced uses of chat, why people use it, and how people organize themselves around it.
Some of the subjects I look forward to writing about nclude :
